It was very nice afternoon so I grabbed one of my folded steel katanas and did some backyard cutting.
I wanted to see how many pieces I could slice and dice out of a single milk jug. Did pretty well over all. I would have done better if I had used my stand. I used the bed of my truck and managed to avoid hitting the blade on the bed.
I also sliced up gator aid and Arizona Tea bottles. Those bottles are a lot tougher than the 12 oz water bottles
I didn't have anybody around to take a video or snapshots of my cutting. Maybe next time. Had to take pictures of the end result instead. I was able to get five pieces out of a single jug
I did some more cutting today. This time I used my Auwiy-Wallhanger/functional sword. The sword is a little blade heavy so the balance is off somewhat.
Cutting with 1060 mono-tempered katana.

Nice cutting.
I really should take the time to learn how to properly get myself on camera and youtube it I guess.

Thanks Raylon. I usually take my iphone and prop it up against something. Just press the video button on screen and start recording. You want to make sure your target is centered onscreen as much as possible. After a couple of tries it comes easy!!
