Guys, i am looking for the most reliable two-component epoxy, for filling up/shimming/gluing the grip of my big Miao Dao. Any brands (preferably available in Europe also) you would recommend? Thanx for input/feedback; much appreciated.

UHU 300 Endfest is the best imo. Drys slowly, so you have plenty of time to work with. You can heat it with a hairdryer so it gets fluid and thus press it through a 1,6 * 50 mm cannula without problems. Bonds and hardens very well. Can be loosened again with boiling/hot water. I use it a lot...

The Acraglas or Pro-Bed 2000 products designed for firearms is really what you want to use. They have a very long working time before they harden, don't shrink or expand when drying, and have a fiberglass component that adds strength. They are more clay-like than regular two part expoxies so they don't run or drip after you apply it to the surface. After they are dry (at least 24 hours), they can be worked just like they are a part of the wood.
These epoxies are SPECIFICALLY designed to gap fill between wood and metal to provide a solid, but removable, joint seam, exactly the application you intend to use it for. A kit with two part epoxy mix, release compound, mixing sticks and instructions runs about $25- and that will most likely be a lifetime supply for the normal hobbyist.
