I really enjoyed the show and you Mikeeman. That's quite a beard you've got going. Just one thing...hot sauce on a banana?

Congratulations to the newest Forged in Fire champion! Well done. I really liked the knife you made in the first 2 rounds, just my style. :)

Congratulations to Mikeeman a.k.a Spicey Mike! I really enjoyed how you overcame and persevered after the blade breakage late in the game, to ultimately becoming the champion. It was a great win.
Here is the episode (starts with ads)

Takes a lot of guts to wear a red shirt on a TV show that runs 75% casualties.
Very serious congratulations.

I met Doug Mercaida 5 years ago at a Martial Arts/Executice Protection seminar, he’s a really nice guy in person and very good with a knife. Glad to see that in the “Battle of Beards VS The Beardless” no one lit their beard on fire!!

Awesome stuff, congratulations Mikeeman - and best of luck! Sooooooo, do Forged in Fire champions get a special little notation next to their name or anything? Maybe a special letter coloring or a token? Perhaps?

Awesome Mike! Congrats on the win, you deserved it, especially after loosing your forge press (or was that just some Reality TV jive lol ). Even without a home team bias I thought you did the best job of the group.

Yeah, the hydraulic press failure was sooo staged... no, seriously; great work. To be hones, and NO offense: i didnt think you would make it to the end... two years experience? Awesome!

Whenever Mike does well with knife making, I like to think of the knives I have that he made... Just shows how far one can come if they put in the effort. I wonder if Fallen/Driggers would ever make it on; I feel like he would do well. I doubt anybody remembers "Forged in SBG" but he had the fastest turnaround and most consistent blades of all the competitors. Not to take away from Mike, just musing. Mike did okay, too, I guess.

Lyndle definitely made blades fit for the task. There's no doubt about that. But I don't think he would really enjoy the cameras and publicity. As far as the press, that actually wasn't mine. That was fellow forumite Tom Kinder's press. As per the Forged in Fire rules, you can use someone else's shop if yours isn't equipped to handle the final blade. So he let me use his. They hydraulic cylinder split along a weld line. It was as real as it gets.
