Not gonna lie, I was tempted more than a few times by that piece, glad it's not going to rot. I hope some thoughts on its handling aren't too far away

Very nice...I am intrigued by the thumb rings on these, but have little experience with this type of sword, so at best would flail like a newbie ...

That is indeed a beautiful sword. I have always worried that a thumb ring would hurt my had and that a martingale would be more comfortable. How is that one?
