Looking very nice! I love the rope edge. I never thought of that, but it makes sense.
It's tough to pick a nice centergrip shield up without slapping it with the flat and yelling "Skeggǫld, Skálmǫld, Skildir ro Klofnir!"

My little project is coming along nicely. Got the holes inked out for mounting the boss and grip, along with the holes for the forearm strap. Time to get to drilling and fitting. But, before that, I will be adding a quilted, padded Herringbone-pattern piece of old drapery for the backing. I made the grip from a scrap piece of dark, aged Cedar....hard as a rock. It's gonna be wicked-functional. If a certain 'Northern Brother" comes at me in sparring, I think I'll be able to take him. ..........
