Me likey lots! I've found that you can tap in a decorative furniture upholstery tack into the round press-hole on the bottom of the handle ...if it bugs you. Just adds one more extra little touch....

How did you get that dimpled effect on the top of the handle? Dremel tool?

Yup I did the stippling with a rotary tool, two separate bits. Just finished another today with more stippling onto the haft, I'll post pics of that soon!

I like that look. I've done some similar stuff. I've used a spade tip on a woodburner tool to make a snake-scale effect. Pretty neat looking!

Very convenient for me that I now work for a woodworking company that gives me access to power-sanders and stain. I can do this on my lunch-break.
