Digging through my SHTF bags I found my Zastava M57 (7.62x25) which fires a VERY ballistically interesting round akin to the .357Sig. It makes a great Post Apocalyptic sidearm!

Am I the only one without a Shockwave? Your project Glock 19 sounds interesting. Want to send some of my Glocks to Rocky Mountain Weaponry and have the 1911 style ergo grip mod. done (without added beaver tail)

Blade Runner- I doubt you’re the ONLY one without one, but if you like Mossbergs, and you like Mossberg 590A1’s then you’ll really like the Shockwave. I can’t even call it a “range toy,” cause the close quarters capabilities of this thing are quite substantial! I’d very much consider it for home defense, and when you eventually hold one (if not own one) you’ll understand. Clearing a house, room-to-room, with a full sized 590A1 can have some drawbacks due to its length and somewhat limited maneuverability. The Shockwave has none of those limitations or drawbacks Well the project Polymer80 G19 is fun, but it can be a pain to get the upper and lower kits for under $99/each. A slide, barrel, and miscellaneous parts can be picked up on Ebay, if you are interested in the idea here’s a frame and kit sold together: www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=922377 but sadly the prices have gone up since I bought mine 😕

Yes. I remember that kit. Lone Wolf has great parts for Glocks. Nice kit.
I use to have a mega amount of firearms. I greatly reduced my collection I have not bought a new gun in a while.
....just saw vid of p365 Gen 2 with firing pin issue. Guess I will wait to see if there will be a Gen 3 !?!

Vepr 12 is on my list, so yeah I agree with all your 12ga observations! I see what you mean as far as the 1911 style grip, but if I’m not mistaken there are some kits out there without any stipling or anything, you may have to Google it though. The Fostech is SICK!!! I saw a few test videos for that when it was a T&E item, and it is just a beast! Great choices on “next to buy” guns by the way 😁

Yes there are other Glock kits with different surfaces. I like the RMW 1911 grip treatment for the shape, color and surface. Looks smooth but has a "sand" texturing for gripping.

I don’t blame you. I love the way a 1911 can be both gripped, and accurately shot regardless of caliber! Maybe if I decide to build abother kit, that’ll be the frame 😁

Paying off a brand new Walther PPQ M2 which I am VERY happy to get! I’ve heard soooo many people go on and on about Walther’s trigger that I just had to get one for myself. Guess they twisted my arm hard enough 😅

How do you like your PTR?
I’ve a CETME-C (old Century Arms) that is a lot of fun albeit finicky. I was eyeing a PTR for a while until they changed up their line and got rid of the ones I had liked.
(Not that they aren’t super easy to mod)

I almost bought a CETME cause let’s face it, they’re like $400 less, but I was able to trade in a S&W Sigma and get some of that price difference whittled down. Performance-wise they are more reliable than the CETME, but not aesthetically on par with the H&K. I honestly haven’t had any issues with it, and would definitely recommend it to anyone, who like me couldn’t afford an H&K. I got the G.I model, which is colored green and black with an 18” barrel. There’s quite a bit more you can do to accessorize the PTR, due to it taking/having H&K parts, which I don’t believe you can do with the CETME, but I may be wrong about that.

Upper receiver internals like the bolt etc are not due to the variance in the tolerances. But essentially you can (with some modifications) use a lot of the HK furniture. Magazines themselves are the most annoying bit because you can use HK magazines but you have to mod them a tiny amount to move the latching shelf up just a hair. 😑

Er, that sucks! The magazines for the PTR are the same ones you can use for the HK G3, and even for the CETME, but don’t require any doctoring. Have you ever thought of trading the CETME in and getting a PTR? It really is a reliable and fun to shoot .308!

Have you ever thought of trading the CETME in and getting a PTR? I’d prob get a PTR in addition to the CETME. Don’t want to get rid of it. In today’s political atmosphere there is value in a paperless rifle.

I totally understand, and am guilty of hoarding firearms, ammo, and swords/machetes/knives too! Nothing wrong with any of it in my book 😁
