Simple question. What's everyone's go to sword or weapon for their normal cutting session? Could be anything from a $40 machete to a $2k custom tuned katana.
Personally for me I've rarely had that ONE sword that I regularly cut with, everything fluctuates with my interests. However my CS 1917 cutlass was my go to for a long while until it stabbed me in the leg. Then it went bye bye.
What's yours?

I can't cut outdoor but my Hanwei Tactical Katana cut into my thumb at least 4 times and made some scratches in the floor and furniture, so ...

My H/T Norman is a cutting demon. It lives to slice... Water bottles, pool noodles, tatami mats, un-welcomed intruders, ...fair game.

Now get her back and give her a good oiling...and box of chocolates.

Custom Szabla right now. I got a Persian Dragoon sword getting back to me this week so we'll see if that becomes my go to.
Sword I've cut the most with though (I no longer have it) is a Windlass Hungarian. Its too heavy but its a monster chopper. I've literally cut down a small tree with it.

Mostly cutting with Kotetsus now. Also still cut with Zheng, Huawei, DF, Feilong blades.

My most cut-with sword is an old Huawei unokubi-zukuri. I also cut a lot with one of my barongs, and a Valiantco parang nabur. Other cutters that see moderate use are various dao, a couple of jian, a few bolos, a wakizashi. I don't have a regular Euro cutter; I have cut with my Hanwei Cromwell, but not often, and my Ringeck even less. This cuts very well, and I like to cut with it: (40cm/16" blade, 560g)

Iāve probably cut more with my Windlass German Bastard Sword although Iāve put my others through their paces. I donāt know why with the German other than itās a powerful cutter and demanding strength wise at 4.2 lb. I find that it is good, my best, for PT and keeping in shape. I did some cutting this afternoon with a Battlecry Agincourt one handed and was amazed at how effortless it was. That sucker may spoil me. Or maybe that was the result from working out with the German Bastard Sword?

Yes, Philippine, probably Luzon, maybe c. 1900. Spine is about 9.5mm at the base, plenty of distal taper.
The is the sword I've stuck myself with deepest (stab in the thumb while cleaning after cutting).

Hanzo Steel Kill Bill Bride's sword. This was my first katana and it has takin' a beating learning or should I say 'teaching me' the 'way of the cut' and it is still the go to for me. It is still straight, sharp (learning that too), and solid no looseness in tsuba or tsuka, just a great cutter. I have a SBG custom, but way too nice to use, for now my best one, but handles way better and way more responsive and would be my go to for TEOTWAWKI...lol.

Come to think of it I don't really have a primary or principal cutter. When I have a session I usually cut with at least three or more. It really depends on the day and what I feel like cutting with. Some days I have a katana day and cut with them, or a arming sword day ect. Usually though as I've been having less and less sessions I'll at least try to give each of my swords a few targets each.
For the sake of the topic I'd say the two swords with the most mileage would be my H/T Bastard and Windlass European. Of course I have to add my Windlass Hero's Warsword as it's just too fun not to cut with when I do have a session.

My usual go-to is my Windlass Sword of Homildon Hill. It's light, fast, and very sharp. If I feel like cutting with a single-hander, I use the sickle-sword that I made.
