Sword actually cut a lot better than I expected, as it's not very sharp yet. Stabbing into that Olive oil bottle was hard so I chopped it instead.

How did I miss watching this?
First thing that I noticed was your phone vibrating scared the crap out of me, lol!
Also, nice cuts and thrusts. Gosh I just love that family of swords. Nothing better than the three brass bars and curved blade.

Nice to see this. Wish the weather up for that kind of play around here. (snow all weekend, freezing rain tomorrow, sigh).
Do you/did you have the Windlass reproduction? If so, how does the actual antique model compare in your hand?
Thanks!

I missed this one also. It surprised me that the point failed. You really need to turn that phone off.

If so, how does the actual antique model compare in your hand? Thanks! In my opinion the Windlass and Original are like comparing two different patterns. The guards and pommels are different, the grip is VERY different, and the blade lacks the profile and length of the original. The actual antique will feel heavy in the hand but once it gets moving it carries it's own weight and becomes very maneuverable even in the traditional open hand grip. A very nice and well balanced sabre. Also, funnily enough it's snowed and hailed here the past 3 days lol. I missed this one also. It surprised me that the point failed. You really need to turn that phone off. Yeah, I'm definitely turning the vibrater (lol) off next time. Really fustrating to have a good vid ruined by it. Also, I was surprised too! But I have found something more surprising I feel - my much more flexible but spear pointed M1861 Infantry Officers Sabre was able to thrust all the way through a large cardboard box with 4 hoodies on it. The M1860 barely made it 4" in. However I think this could also be due to the nature of the targets. More substantial targets remain to be tested.
