I love it! I'd be interested in seeing how it holds up to pell work.

I had this machete-polearm idea for my old Two Handed Katana Machete but I have 10 thumbs and was also too lazy. Congrats!

I just went and did some dry handling with my CWS machete. It certainly does have a lot of flex in the forte, something I'd noticed before but would undoubtedly be amplified as a polearm.
I would think it more secure as a socketed blade than a slot-and-tang... Not exactly a doable mod, though. I may try to make a socketed one eventually. Probably from slightly thicker, stiffer stock.
Regardless, I'm sure yours would thrust through cloth and meat just fine with the clip sharpened. I would probably have to cut down the shaft a little in order to generate good strike speed for cuts, but I don't have long polearm experience. My last hewing spear was only as tall as me to be handy.

Very nice! Probably makes a fine javelin as well as a small glaive.

Allow me. Her little sister, the short CS bowie machete polearm... That looks nifty.
