Hi all.
Thank you to the mods who approved me 🤗
I am in the process of building a new forge. Am moving from solid fuel to gas for the basic forging, and casting phases.
For the torch, I am making two of the Dan Jennings gas torches.
Has anyone made Any of these?
Also does anyone know what the average air flow is?
Finally if I link the venturis to an air blower would this help give a wider heat range?

Have no idea what Dan Jennings gas burners are.
If you are going to use ventura do not force air into them. If you want a blower forge build blower burners.

Thank you.
I guess the problem is twofold. One is trying to build my gear on a budget.
Secondly is trying to teach myself how to do it.... while doing it.
So I appreciate your comment about either atmospheric or blower burners. But as a newbie building from scratch, without spending a fortune on test equipment it is difficult.
I guess I shall have to buy some basic test gear (such as manometer)
I shall let you all know how my forge work goes.
But the greatest help of all will be data such as gas usage and equivalent air usage...
(By the way, my next piece is planned to be a recreation of a 11th century crusader sword)

You are going to go from building a forge to forging a sword.
