Even the photo can photo can pick up on the difference between that and more readily found roll on and stamped engravings most often found today. Beautiful work all around.

Hello my friends. I want to show you our last work. It was a special order that gave us a lot of emotions. It is a sword type X from X-XIth. century. The blade is type 5 in Geibig's classification. It is a long, big blade and it has incredible blow strength. All elements are full handmade - forged blade, holes in the crossguard and pommel forged in a traditional way and a socketforged by hand from sheet of metal. Photos of the process you could seen in my posts. The pattern on the scabbard was carved in 3D way. without the punches with a ready pattern and without ready-made rollers. I hope you will enjoy our work - I invite you to fallow our page and to share this post. Viking sword type X Full functional, made with high quality steel 51CrV4 (6150) Hardened 54HRC, Total lenght: 100,5cm, Blade lenght: 86cm, Blade width at the base: 5cm, Balance: 14,5cm, Grip lenght: 10cm, Weight 1250g, Edge is sharp historicalswordszone.comscontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102413684_2920298864735626_8299272445266293959_o.jpg?_nc_cat=108&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=sLGVqJEjjpYAX9cziHo&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=b145570da7c10ace75d2ebcfba970333&oe=5F00DB4Fscontent-frx5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102296760_2920302474735265_7696906023060477057_o.jpg?_nc_cat=110&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=8mUn0gUvdhQAX-6DZdc&_nc_ht=scontent-frx5-1.xx&oh=5f7a9191fc85778249852ca930aa1eed&oe=5F00EBC9scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102587197_2920300601402119_6596243729584534368_o.jpg?_nc_cat=108&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=CuXQZNz2ul0AX9fN5R_&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=1338492a0f26f9ba808dd0d7ccf147bb&oe=5F00836Ascontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102457627_2920319514733561_7364158321525351907_o.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=RSbOWaer73wAX8RNJuU&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=1dae5939ea023b790d3d29a8e8cf8435&oe=5EFF629Bscontent-frx5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102313411_2920301728068673_6801213795832111493_o.jpg?_nc_cat=110&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=RsjI0_waqfMAX9LskjK&_nc_ht=scontent-frx5-1.xx&oh=7866257f94d4b7b8a29fcb3f66e1a230&oe=5F00BD02scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102798772_2920301431402036_4103451306419113076_o.jpg?_nc_cat=104&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=8qqT-gNfvt0AX_CXJMy&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=a655a6aaba4cd5f5992c1fe82f2209ed&oe=5F019BF0scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102863342_2920303748068471_3456889571308806539_o.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=Fr6A68RMxrMAX_qgN_k&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=4a19e296176cbb47dd1dacd5ad9afce4&oe=5F013530scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102654161_2920305291401650_1121071138312196088_o.jpg?_nc_cat=107&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=WeXmRrmeb_oAX-oyPPT&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=45f00a0784c5fdf3bda6e32840c5db9b&oe=5EFF50ADscontent-frx5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102596052_2920305981401581_1265821895345192120_o.jpg?_nc_cat=105&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=cQhtry7DiTMAX-O6NlA&_nc_ht=scontent-frx5-1.xx&oh=ac6872ea67195c77d57f7b8f3e14ed4c&oe=5F000A7Ascontent-frx5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/103054653_2920308398068006_596144470031142240_o.jpg?_nc_cat=105&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=IE3VEGzqGBQAX-15_yo&_nc_ht=scontent-frx5-1.xx&oh=25983fe63a2a104a783e706e4b6a8bff&oe=5F01DD88scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102941820_2920309894734523_3521950835133218401_o.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=dfe_G_SuzBUAX9alefD&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=27f6e58ab4f16f23ac3f84a1a961d2e0&oe=5F0291A9scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102863342_2920310381401141_3961561108179912987_o.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=ptNOZV38XUcAX9T__IR&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=7a512fb44b0e782e32395ba31449382f&oe=5F02AF80scontent-frx5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102459292_2920315584733954_3611074329256188135_o.jpg?_nc_cat=110&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=SAb4pv0Xq9sAX_Ro-d-&_nc_ht=scontent-frx5-1.xx&oh=914f886a12065ec21594fa5ad203ad7f&oe=5F00F318scontent-frt3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102656989_2920318748066971_2243981084787505246_o.jpg?_nc_cat=101&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=2YPisTt1ro8AX8iUS1T&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-2.xx&oh=36b979fff98f851b4641c66a00334f39&oe=5F02567Bscontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/102378089_2920319058066940_3194239872897045710_o.jpg?_nc_cat=107&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=JWAu46Ocl30AX-9oYZu&_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.xx&oh=c01eb1eae86f374374851c3a4cdaf664&oe=5F028EA7

Beautiful work. I am such a big fan now a days of the bronze pommel on medieval types.

Thank you. I am very happy that you like it. It is aslo my favourite swod. Please tell my friends. Some time ago some member of this forum write to me and said that some of pictures that I make and put here for you just dissapear. I see I have some problem with it - I put URL of pictures on my facebook and I do not delete thouse pictures. I do not knew why my pictures are for some 3 months and then they are gone... There stay only links with movies. Did you have some problem like this? I will be very glad if you will answer.

The pictures for the Kingbird listing seem to have gone, only the video remains.

I tried copy-pasting the URLs of some of the images in this thread that no longer show up, to view them directly. Each one consistently returned the error message "Bad URL timestamp".

The work on the pommel is glorious, man. It gives a nice, simple, clean look that you might take for granted at first glance- until you go “wait, how exactly did he go about this?” Even though I’m well-acquainted with the concept of inlays I wondered, it just looks so seamless. Seeing just how you did it is a little “a-ha, ding” moment.” Felt like learning the method behind a magician’s trick, haha.
Kinda sad that some in these days (not many on this forum or other enthusiasts of course) might take for granted that little touches like that on metal are probably done with some type of laser-etch or something, without thinking about it twice.

Thank you my friend. I tryed to show some of most interesting steps of making this sword - I was also very excited during work on it. I am very happy that you like it Your comment and your words means a lot for me. And it is also inspiration to work.
