Hey y'all, Just sharing photos of my custom Tozando iaito I got in Japan this past December! I gotta say, the quality is phenomenal. It handles like a dream, and I used it almost every night at the dojo. It isn't too different in weight and handling from using a Shinken/Nihonto. Just a tad bit lighter. Attachments:

Ahhh that's my favorite style of tsuba. Looks very nice! I'm sure it's an excellent training tool.

The fuchi and kashira are both stained copper, and the finish comes off a bit, but honestly... I like having the areas where the dark stain came off and exposed the polished copper. It shows how much the sword is used! Beautiful. The tachikaze is very crisp and strong, best sound I've heard compared to all production katana I've used.

There's something special about a stained and well used sword grip/fittings. Something that's been used for years and has stood the test of time. Carries with it a certain nostalgia, and I like that.
