I did recently pick up a S&W small 9mm that holds around 15 rounds. Sort of like that one as well.

Looks like I have to delay this purchase given the teething problems with the barrel peening the slide. Still, it’s the gun that’s on my radar for EDC. For now, I’m at the Glock 19/M&P 9c 2.0/CZ P10c dillema.

Good review by Hickok45 of the P365. If they work out the bugs, it will be a great conceal carry gun.

Yep, watched that. They just have to make adjustments to the recoil spring and the slide, but otherwise everyone has said it shoots like a bigger gun, is just as concealable as a Glock 43, and might force other manufacturers to make better subcompact carry pistols.

I’ve seen 5 or 6 people saying they had zero problems with it, even after several hundred rounds! Ihave one reserved, and I already have two of the 12rnd magazines ordered for it. I love the fact that it comes with the siglite sights out of the box, so all I need is a holster for it.

I wish I could get one this year but fat chance - Glock gen 5s and CZ P10cs aren't even here yet (arrival is around June/July).

No no no don't do this to me. Just when I figured I was all set and didn't need to buy another pistol. My Sig P229 was my first conceal carry which I bought back in 1995 but was not ideal when wearing light clothing with no jacket. So about a year ago I picked up a S&W Performance Center Shield which is a lot smaller then my Sig. Only drawback the magazine only holds 6 in the short and 7 in the long, now you're showing me a Sig that is just as compact but holds 10. Now normally I would say if you can't take the bad guy down with 6 you probably shouldn't be shooting because you'll probably be taking out innocent bystanders. But in a multiple bad guy situation those extra 4 rounds could come in handy. Well maybe next year but for now I'll just keep practicing quick changing magazines..

The trifecta of 9mm pistols I want: Sig P365, CZ P10c, and a Glock 34. 9mm pistols I have: Taurus PT111 g2, Glock 26. Still a long way to go :p

Really wanted the compact Sig P224 in .40 as the mags would interchange with my Sig P229 (.40). But the P224 had bugs when it first came out. As they started to resolve issues (recoil spring?) Sig discontinued it. Hope that does not happen to the P365.
If you want a true pocket pistol, it's hard to be beat the mega quality made Seecamp .380. Although, North American Arms mini single action revolvers are mega small and well made. Rohrbaugh sold out to Remington, so don't think the 9mm version is made anymore. See review link:

That’s my kind of shopping list Crocc! I am partial to my Glock 32 cause it’s Glock 19 size (so no shortage of holsters and other accessories) and I really like the .357sig. Something else to check out is the Arex Rex Zero compact. It may be a Sig P226 “clone,” but it’s preformance is outstanding! Plus it’s a lot more affordable than the P226. Blade Runner, I always want to buy a Seecamp bu5 every time I think to look for one it’s out of stock. Something interesting I found the other day is if you have a Ruger LC380, there is a conversion barrel to allow it to shoot 9x18! How great is that?? www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=922306

Yep. In terms of ballistics vis-a-vis capacity very few things beat a 357 sig but the ammo is hard to come by and is kinda expensive relative to +p 9mm or even 10mm.

I have a .38 Super and I thought a .357 Sig would be a logical next step, sort of. Probably a 10mm would be even more logical, not that I ever act logically. Anyhow, when checking details of guns in that caliber, I also thought about both a .40 auto and a .45 GAP. At one place, at least, the .45 GAP was much more expensive than any of the others, all of which were about the same. Unless you live where vendors won't ship ammunition, I don't think availability is a real issue. Cost is always an issue.
Funny, I wanted another .38 Super for a long time, having owned a couple of others. But now that I have one, and it's a Colt, too, do you think I'm satisfied?

Crocc- I really enjoy both 10mm and .357 Sig, so it’s hard to choose between the two as far as which I like shooting more. When it comes to “carrying” one or the other, I choose the .357 sig because it’s got more juice than 9mm, but not as much as the hot 10mm rounds I have in my Glocks. I found a few places online where .357sig isn’t as much $$$ as it was a few years ago. Price is the reason I held off buying it in the past! bluetrain- It’s funny you mention .38 super, cause I happen to know a few discerning gentlemen who favor it over 9mm! Have you ever watched Paul Harrell’s videos on YouTube? He loves his Colt 1911 (.38 Super), and has one or two good videos where he chronographed and compared the .38 super to 9mm. Great choice by the way! To answer your question: No, as men we are NEVER satisfied when it comes to firearms. It’s like that Lays potato chips commercial “You can’t have just one!” ; )

Hah, Paul Harrell is my favorite firearms guy on youtube. Really like the old school atmosphere and the very experiment-based approach he has. Plus he’s an extremely good shot (with real world self defense experience with a firearm).
38 Super is really underrated outside the competition circuit. In my view, it’s the original 357 SIG for 1911s. I bought a nickel plated 1911 in 38 Super a few months back but traded for a 45 just because I was having trouble finding hollowpoints for it, otherwise I would much prefer it over the 45 as a self-defense round.

What exactly is the issue with the peening? Does it result in a non-functional gun or something breaking? I'm willing to overlook certain shortcomings to get certain benefits not available in other guns, assuming other guns are actually available with given characteristics. One would think that with all the different models of handguns available today, you'd be able to find exactly what you wanted. None are perfect and some even believe they all need work before they're usable.
Regarding the .38 Super, available only from Colt for decades, it was advertised as being able to stop any animal on the American continent. But that was when revolvers chambered in .32 Colt New Police (cartridge) was described as "powerful."

It’s just a potential long term issue with the barrel and slide getting much more banged up along the way. Speculations mostly, of misalignment and eventual damage to either part.

bluetrain- I had only seen Colt making 1911’s in .38 super until a year and a half ago. Rock Island is making a 1911 in .38 super, that by all accounts is very, very well made. I’ve actually been eyeballing the double stack 10mm that R.I makes. It looks AWESOME! I know some people consider any 1911 that’s not Para to be sacrilegious, but their double stack is well worth the second look! Back to .38 super, I think that ballisticly speaking it’s superior to the 9mm in all but price and availability. The only thing to really “top” it (at the time) was .357 magnum!
Crocc- Paul spent a year in jail after a defensive shooting that he was later exonerated on. Him and his wife were camping and these two jerks started trouble with them. Long story short, one of the idiots tried to hit his wife with the pickup truck they were in, and Paul was forced to shoot him. He’s a great guy too! We’ve emailed back and forth a few times, and I’m letting him borrow some of my firearms to use in his videos. His channel has LOTS of information, about hunting, ammo and gun reviews, and even concealed carry. Awwww too bad you had to sell your Colt, those nickel plated 1911’s are works of art! I concur, it’s pretty hard to find much in the way of anything, selection-wise, for .38 super. More’s the pity, it’s a GREAT round!! If I had the money, I think I’d pick up a Coonan 1911 (.357mag), but I may just buy a Sig Fastback Nightmare Carry (.357sig) cause it’s much less expensive, and in stock more often than the Coonan.

Anything but a Colt is an imitation. I don't know when mine was made but it isn't that old. I'm sure you could find one if you had the money. They, like other manufacturers make something for a while, then make something else. For a while they made a lightweight Government Model in .45 auto. That I would have liked to have.

Yeah Buds sells them, and I know an online auction house that has commemorative old school Colt’s. I’ll eventually get a Colt, they’re built like tanks and run forever!
