I compared a few knives and steels offered, and also based on other comments, it did seem like a good deal^^ I absolutely hate spyderco and their thumb holes...uurrrghhh so ugly...so it's a no go^^ I checked the steel price on NJSB, and Nitro V isn't far behind s35vn, it stills is a premium steel I believe. And maybe other details more relevant to this current topic: I talked with some dudes on instagram, that are knifemakers...and the average price for a knife was always 3/400 bucks...custom and handmade... So I guess it does give us another perspecive of things. Sure, some people juste overprice their stuff...but you can't expect to pay like 500 bucks for a dagger with a damascus tsuba and silver wire inlay into ebony...it won't happen^^ So if you buy theses knives from the 1 post...you'll paying the materials and attention put in them. I don't remember the name of the knifemaker rn, but there're blades that sell for over 2/3k only because of the crazy grinds on the ricasso. If you want sth special...you'll have to pay for it...simple as that. Same thing applies for cars,...

I really like M390 in a small or regular folder (but don't have any knives featuring it), but that is probably in the Gold class and $200, though maybe a deal could appear in the $125-150 range. I I were to offer you specific advice on a single knife for consideration (particularly after your no go with Spyderco...I just rhymed)...Benchmade Griptilian. Griptilian is in their Blue class (sort of economy) but still gives you the axis lock and 154cm, so maybe you can score a deal in the $80 dollar realm.

FWIW, I love my Mini Griptilian (plain sheepsfoot blade with thumbhole). Best EDC folder I've ever had.

I don't like particularly benchmade, idk, they don't attract me that much. But the griptilian with drop point, not sheepsfoot, kinda looks good too. I'm trying to convince the authorities to give me an edc license for that folding knife, since it has a lock and a "guard" I can't walk around with it...that's just plain stupid...whatever. I'm also planning on ordering later on a WE knife, they look interesting too and a custom one, maybe a somewhat tactical tanto (the lady like it a lot, so it helps if she approves ) I'm sure there're other nice knives out there, but I started work yesterday, so I don't have the same time to research and compare stuff like before.

Having to "convince the authorities" to simply carry a particular folding knife is more than just plain stupid, it's an assault on basic human freedom and common sense. And it is dangerous, as the very people who DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAW carry whatever they like themselves, often as a means of robbing and assaulting the law abiding citizenry. You have my sympathy, Natqui.
