Just my two cents but maybe the 6 to 8 week wait might be killing some sales. Maybe if he pre-made two of each model for next day ship and when one is sold make another to replace it. Since there's no options available there's no reason not to have a couple pre-made ready to ship. Thats actually not a bad suggestions. Ready to go swords are appealing compared to ones you need to wait for.

and the black Flamberge blade I posted earlier: Do you have some general stats on the flamberge, even ballpark estimates? About how long is it and how much does it weigh? Sadly there are no specs for length, weight, or other dimensions. However, Paul did mention that; "This sword is a BEAST of a thing – and it is going to be a lot heavier than any historical sword, due in part to the weight and size of the fittings – but being quite heavy and thick, the balance is shifted a lot towards the hilt so despite it shaping up to be a rather heavy sword that perhaps only the DeathKnight himself could easily wield, it will still be quite functional..."

Any new news on the Sword of Danu? Such as leather wrappings and such

oh snap, sword updates coming hot and fast. Looking good! Is the Castir supposed to have a grip that looks like a femur bone? Thats what I keep seeing and it makes me think of some kind of vampire/deathknight blade.

Oh, the gladius is nice! Not that the Castir isn't, also - indeed, it looks wicked - but I have to say, coming with a scabbard of matching quality and aesthetics is in itself a big plus. You don't see that a lot in fantasy designs.

Ah dang, I was hoping the Castir would retain the silvery look of doom. Black looks pretty cool though.
That gladius looks really impressive, the black and red looks design is sweet. Blade itself looks like a wicked thrusting weapon, almost resembles a 'lance-blade' or something to that effect.

Okay... price point on the castir, like any kind of ballpark estimate? Aka how many paychecks until I can have it, looks really nice to me.

Thats what I keep seeing and it makes me think of some kind of vampire/deathknight blade. Actually, no. It's not a femur nor is it supposed to be a bone lol. The Castir's handle was inspired by Perseus' Olympian sword from the terrible reboot Clash of the Titans movie combined with the hilt of the Tengu Katana featured in the also terrible 47 Ronin movie starring Keanu Reeves. In the fantasy world itself, the Castir is the distinctive national blade of the war-like Escians that I developed for the sword's flavor text which Paul liked enough to include them in the world. However, in the world of Elatreus, the Castir has the exact same reputation as the Katana in real life. From humans to hobgoblins to vampires and even some orcs believe the many myths that revolve around the blades and favor them above the more mundane longswords. Of course, the skill of the wielder and the quality of the blade that ultimately becomes the final arbiter of any swordfight. Not the myths nor the reputation that revolve around the swords.

I'm really new here, so for me it's just the fact that there are other swords that I already have my eye on, and I'm just really beginning to build my collection. Otherwise, I'm digging the Orc King, and if money allowed, I would pick one up.

Sorry if someone's already asked or it was elaborated in the original design post, but the guard for this gladius...are those finger rings? I can get behind that if so!

They look like a finger ring/cross guard, which is honestly a really good idea. I'm all about finger and thumb rings on swords lol.

I feel so torn on this, but I think I liked the Castir a lot more with this silver handle finish. This design really speaks to me!

It certainly looks interesting, but it also looks like it will weigh a lot.

It certainly looks interesting, but it also looks like it will weigh a lot. On the other hand, it will certainly handle differently than your average gladius, which is not a bad thing all considered. I do not dislike the gladius, pretty thing, and I would certainly get the castir if/when I can, financially speaking. The number of swords I can get annually is certainly limited and these are not top of the list, as I'm not focusing on fantasy blades right now, but in the future? Maybe next year, definitely. o7
