UPDATE - 10/01/18 - SOLVED
Turns out the problem was that the pommel had become very, very slightly loosened during my usage of the sword. After using some cloth, a pair of pliers and a lot of elbow grease, I was able to unscrew the pommel and look at the hilt assembly. There was no epoxy residue or anything on the threads so it seems it was only held in place with the screw tension. Wasn't able to remove any other hilt parts, as it seems like they have been adhered in place, but after reinstalling the pommel and adding an extra few centimeters of twist, the whole sword is back to being solid and rattle-free again!
Thanks to everybody who offered advice on my question, I wasn't sure if twisting the pommel a whole lot would be a good idea but it seems like that was what I needed to do! Hope anybody else with similar problems can get some insight into this thread.
Cheers!

OLD POST:
Hey, all!
At the end of 2016, my boyfriend made my year by ordering me my first ever rapier as a gift. I did a review on it which you can check out here.
Two years later, after several training drills and general backyard bottle murder, the blade has began to rattle slightly. I suspect that the issue lies in the pommel/grip assembly coming slightly loose, but I have a problem... I have no idea how to disassemble the sword without potentially destroying it.
Now, I know many of you might be thinking "It's a Deepeeka, just buy a new sword!" And that'd be a fair point except that 1) This sword has immense sentimental value to me, being a gift from my partner. 2) I have basically no money at the best of times and I'm already trying to commission a Ukrainian armourer to make me some gauntlets, and 3) As far as Deepeeka's bad reputation goes, I've yet to experience any serious issues with my sword.
While the looseness isn't currently an issue, I don't want it getting any worse. And I'd like to know how to disassemble the sword for future reference in case there is some major issue down the line, or if I want to replace the blade, or anything, really.
So, does anybody have any experience with these rapiers? Mostly I need to know what kind of construction the pommel is - I have a feeling it's screw construction, but my efforts to unscrew it by hand have resulted in wrist strain and not much else. I highly doubt it's peened construction, but it could be welded, which would make things... difficult.
In any case, how can I take my sword apart safely to give it a bit of a touch up without ruining it? Thanks!
