Today, I did some test cutting with my English Two-Hand Sword. I plan to send it to Steve Huerta to have the grip replaced, but, before I went to the trouble of doing that, I wanted to see how well it cut. After spending a couple of hours sharpening one edge, I tried some cuts on a couple of Mugen Dachi mats and then a used Japanese tatami mat that had been soaked about 12 hours. The sword cut very well! I was easily able to perform double cuts on both types of mat. This English Two-Hand Sword also handles very well for such a big heavy sword (57.5 inches long and 4.8 lbs).
EDIT: Watching the slow motion replays again, it is amazing how little this very long blade flexes during the cuts, even when cutting that tough Japanese mat.

Awesome! Great cutting (as usual).
I'm really surprised at how rigid that Windlass blade remained through those cuts. I've handled that sword and that one felt very "whippy". This makes me want to re-examine this sword.
