First time to post here. Looking to buy my first sword. I don’t want to buy anything made from China. I want a medieval sword that is made in America. I would love to buy an Albion sword and I probably would eventually but for my first sword I think I would like to go a little cheaper.
Ideally, I’d like a sword and scabbard for under $800. Please point me in the right direction. I’ve been looking at dark sword armoury. At least they are North America. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Yeah I heard they were from Texas. That’s where I live. I’m definitely interested in them. I will add to the short list. Thanks.

I think that they're your best bet. Other than them you really only have custom makers to choose from in the US, cats like John Lundemo, and cheap isn't an option with them. VA's offerings have always looked pretty top notch.

Everyone here's got the size of it. Angus Trim, Michael Tinker-Pearce, John Lundemo, Stephan Lockwood, Lonely Wolf Forge, L. Driggers, tdiamante, and others are all US blade makers, but if Albion is out of your price range right now, they may be too.
As said, Valiant uses Chinese made blades, but assembles them in the US - and makes their own fittings, I believe. They DO have a new line of all-American made blades - but they're pushing Albion prices. (For good reason, likely.) Valiant's US-assembled line is your best option unless you settle for a smaller blade, or roll the dice on an up and coming swordmaker.

Really depend on want you want, Tdiamante or myself might be able to help you. Tdiamante has good prices and does scabbards too.

I thought DSA swords were made in Canada. They'd like you to believe that.

I thought DSA swords were made in Canada. There have been shipping documents found that indicate they buy their blades from a forge in India.

Where in TX are you? Valiant is in Dallas and I'm looking forward to visiting them, and LG Martial Arts has some cool stuff in McAllen.

I make swords and scabbards, might be able to make a set for under 800 depending on what you want. I'm also in the Central Texas area. My portfolio: www.diamante-swords.com/L Driggers (fallen) heat treats my blades so absolutely everything is handmade here in Texas and Oklahoma. You might also consider ordering a set of fittings from LG Martial Arts for one of us to make a blade for. They're cast in China I believe but they're good quality and the blade will still be done by an American maker. Would save you a little money too. Hope this helps!

I’m located in North Houston. Diamante, I checked out your website, I’m definitely interested. Would love to see some more photos of your work if possible. Can you send a link? I’m interested in a medieval type sword. Of the Albion Swords, I like the Oakshotte, Templar styles.

Sorry, I think that all the high quality photos I have are already up, but I have progress pics and such that I take. Here's one blade I'm working on right now: Here's a Type X I worked on(the left) with fittings you can get from LG Martial Arts: You can PM me if you'd like to discuss more details about what you're looking for.
