I modified my student's Zombie Tools D Captain to my sharpness level and give it a test on newspapers roll with chopsticks core.

I would say your sharpening was a success!

Very nicely done. Did the overall geometry need to be reworked or just the edge itself?

I would say your sharpening was a success! Thanks. Took 3 days to hand grind! It makes hell a lot of difference indeed!

Brutally shiny. It looks like the three days were worth it! That's a fairly steep angle though, right?

Yes, they held up pretty well, especially those made with 3V! They hold a very fine edge for like 3 to 5 times longer than some other steels / alloy, depending on your compare subjects. Very fine grain as well. I found all these out from actual cutting and also from the sharpening process. Bravo for them!

I really like the lines on this sword. I have been seriously interested in Zombie Tools' stuff. Great post!

Thanks a lot, Skane. Nowadays I usually cut newspapers roll with 4 chopsticks core, 2 more than the one in this video. :)
