Inspired by those Hobbit movies, Mad Dwarf Workshop, BKS concept weapons, and my own love of tiny bearded culture, I need a functional dwarven sword. There is no off the shelf sword that meets this need. I'm looking for suggestions on custom makers or possibly blade and hilt furniture that could be combined to make a dwarven sword.

To make up for my lame post... Go to: The Knife Center: knifecenter.com, plug in "Swords" in the search criteria, and go to page 3, there you will find "The Sword of Kili..." which looks exactly like what you're looking for.

That's about what I'm looking for. However, I want a functional sword. The BKS concept sword is awesome and was supposed to go into production. However, they are not currently making them and their wait times are very, very long atm. Cedar Lore doesn't accept orders for customs and they are a bit out of my price range. I'd like to keep it under $800 if possible. I'm not looking for something with tremendous fine detail, just the basic shape with unadorned guard and pommel.

Have you considered fallen, or l Driggers, his work is definitely functional and last I heard he was still doing custom work. Not sure how much he'd ask for something like this, look him up in the manufacturer's and vendors forum here.

I'd recommend L.Driggers(fallen) or Wes Beem of Lonely Wolf Forge. Both are solid guys who do good work. Both are longtime members in good standing here.

it would be really difficult to make something like this functional but i agree with Adrian, Wes or L.Driggers is your best bet at a good price, it probably wont be cheap but the price will be fair.

Thanks for those suggestions. I just sent an email to Scorpion Swords about a custom order. If that doesn't work out I'll try to contact those two.
