It's not finished in these pictures. I'm not wearing the wig because I didn't shave and it clashed with my beard, and the scarf is all kinds of wrong due to having never ever tied a scarf before, but here is my cosplay for a con at the end of September. Oh, and I had to order new boots as I ordered them late at night and measured my ankle instead of my calf. I'll be sure to upload new pictures once it's complete. Vergil, Eldest son of the black knight Sparda, with the legendary katana Yamato.

Not only is Vergil one of my favorite video game characters, my voice sounds just like his. It was a no-brainer to do a cosplay of him for my local nerd convention. What makes it really special this year is that I got the cosplay approved for the formal ball they will be holding the first night. Now that is going to be fun .

Necrothreading! I had to eventually post this picture though. It's me in full costume as Virgil, son of Sparda. I think it went well. Got tons of compliments from men thinking I looked awesome and women thinking I looked "incredibly handsome", as one put it lol. Attachments:

Awesome thread idea! These are my two main kits. First is my Jedi that I use mainly to troop with the Rebel Legion. Next is a bit of a WIP but my labor of love, a Tolkien inspired Dunedain Ranger. Accompanying me is my lovely wife in a sort of Elven kit that she kind of threw together last minute for the event we attended haha. She cleans up pretty nice if I do say so... Okay, folks....In interest of not letting this thread die....Let's see those COSTUMES! Ren-Fest season is upon us and it's time to throw on your best gear and grab a turkey leg and a pint of mead!
No pics for me YET, but I'll be doing a shoot of my my 'Dark Warrior' armor very soon. Hadn't really planned on going in full plate, but what the hell....you only live once.
Come on...Let's see 'em!

Texan, same as you. I've been to Sherwood so far this year. Next up is Scarborough and TRF later in the fall. It gets too hot for a full suit at TRF I'd imagine.

If we make it to Scarborough, I'm going to *possibly* attempt my full plate and *maybe* mail underneath. BUT---It's gonna have to be really cool weather! I'd rather my ride home not be in the back of an ambulance! TRF is just too far to drive for me. Plus, we have pets, so overnight stays are hard to manage. At my age, a day-trip is all I can stand.

Ah, fair enough. I'm closer to Houston so it's not so bad going to all 3.

Sweeeet.....I would NOT have the patience to do all that. Besides, my fingers are like little, fat sausages.
