Calling all cosplayers! Another thread inspired me to create this thread! So if you have cosplay pics related to swords, let's see them! (Has to be you or someone you personally know) I'll go first. Couple of pics of my cosplays related to swords and stuff: While not all ME (some are staged on my costuming mannequin), these are sword-related costumes I have done (I actually have lots of items and can compose bunches of different medieval and/or fantasy outfits. The Link one and the armor are the only ones deliberately done as a whole). (apologies for some reposts but putting them all in one post) Hijikata Toshizo from Hakuouki: Shinsengumi KitanLink from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess(shield is not done yet... blah) Dúnedain RangerDeath Knight inspired by Dark SoulsLet’s not forget the Mrs as well, cuz she also looks amazing in costume! 2B from Nier: AutomataFemale assassin (original character) from Assassin’s CreedGeiko/GeishaAnd from the same Geisha/Geiko set, here is myself and her and I in some samurai and couples pics. Samurai and his consort

Uhh.. I dont think it counts as coslay but in 10 days I will take part in 17th century reenactment (which will be a bit unusual considering my age) and I am very excited. Will that count?

It's an anime that is set during the Boshin war that has the wolves of Mibu as the main characters but takes a supernatural spin to the events of history.

Here's part of the ren fair demo from this summer. It's a demonstration on why spears rule. I have to ask why I always end at the long end of that stick for the demo and get bruised ;-) IIRC what's happening is I have my weight on my right leg and was trying to draw a strike to my left, which I would move back. Then I was hoping to do an "ice cream scoop" hook with the sword to hook and control the spear. Unfortunately Dave is an old free scholar and is going right for my planted leg--the one I can't move out of the way. I got him once this year. Spears are a beast. I've discarded by medieval hose to cool off, so this is just the linen tunic in the 14th century clerical style. 100% linen does amazingly well as athletic gear. It wicks sweat and dries off fast. My role is as the town secular cleric. So I alternate between helping with I.33 demos and doing calligraphy with feather pens. I'm dedicated enough to expand my bald spot into a tonsure, but I need a sign saying "I AM NOT A MONK!" We try to keep it reasonably authentic. Younger, thinner guys play the roles of knights and men-at-arms. I come in to explain civilian arms. People are surprised to know that religious men could be armed with a sword. Thankfully our group does NOT do ren speak.

Is your link cosplay finished? No. Sadly I have yet to finish the shield still. My wife's Zelda dress is coming along nicely though. Check out the beadwork on the front tapestry part:

I wanted to see the original of the first picture for a while. It's at least as great as expected!
As for the Link/Zelda cosplay that looks amazing, each little part I see of it.

That's some impressive work. You live the life I would wanna live. Amazing job on all your costumes Thanks! Certainly nothing goes fast. I'm not the type of cosplayer to churn out costumes for a con over a weekend or even a month. But I go for the gusto when I do them. Been working on my archangel for over a year; still have not gotten the wing linkage moving fast enough with the linear servos I have.... Blegh. The Link and Zelda stuff is pushing almost 4 years in the making now though that is heavily due to general life getting in the way. Hehe... but they will for sure be epic!
