Really like the looks of this setup in Blue, but after seeing those gaps, a little disappointed, does anyone know if this is one of the "new made in America blades"? it's not mentioned on the spec sheet, Any reviews about? with some blade measurements including distal taper. I don't think the blade is made in usa

Pretty certain it's not, just from the pricepoint if nothing else. He hasn't re-posted this, but if you look at the picture of blanks he posted on Facebook a while ago - there's definitely some for models he isn't offering yet on his page.

Yep - It is the imported older stuff. It looks like the guard (to me) was not made specifically for this blade but just a generic one that was used.
To be honest, some A&A swords I have had have pretty big gaps......
This was likely my last VA sword. Not because of the issue with this one but going to thin the herd soon and keep the better stuff.
