Was just browsing facebook when. I saw an advertisement for valiant armory's custom sword shoppe, was like sweet, havnt browsed there in a while, let's take a look. Then at the very bottom of special edition page, I see this.. customswordshoppe.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=62&product_id=158 How new is this?? I checked in some other spots on the forum and havnt seen anything about it. It looks pretty sweet. Just thought I'd throw that out there being a WOT fan and all.

I think it's fairly new as I was on their website 2 weeks ago and I didn't see it then, it looks cool overall but something about the guard is throwing me off a little

Stormmaster I agree the guard looks a little funky, also the tip looks like it could be shaped better.

Has anyone found the specs for it? It's still blank in the description. The guard does look a little strange but I am just happy to see a wheel of time sword being made by a reputable company! (other than fable blades of course) If I can get the money together for it I might try to buy it for that reason alone

I like that a lot. I haven't read the books but every iteration of a Wheel Of Time sword I've seen (excepting the Windlass one) has just looked great to me but being disabled I'm on a very fixed income and this is the first one I've seen that I could realistically save up for and buy.

I actually like the windlass heron mark just for how fantasy it is. I might save up for the VA one too, love the herons on the scabbard

Not really caring about it being a Heron sword but like the design a good deal.

Not really caring about it being a Heron sword but like the design a good deal. My feelings also. Not having read the books that heron just looks like a weird thing to stick on a sword but I don't mind it as long as it comes with that design.

I like it as it sort of looks like some of the hand-and-a-half sabers like LUTEL and others make.

It just hit me what it makes me think of, the marriage of a longsword and a langes messer.

To me. it looks pretty much like their old " Warder" with new hilt components. Without dimensions it's a bit hard to judge. It's a nice looking sword, in any case :) But really..shouldn't this thread belong in the "Fantasy Blades" section ?

The link leads to a product not found message. Now I'm sad I didn't get to see it.

I received my VA Heron Mark saber about two weeks ago and the blade had a twist near the tip. I returned it and Sony sent a replacement that arrived today. Quick turn around for sure, but the new sword has a loose guard and ... ... it has wide gaps on either side of the blade. One side is VERY rough, as you can see. I have contacted Sonny and will be returning this sword again

Took it off the rack a few minutes ago and it has a very slight play on the guard up and down. Left to right is fine. Funny thing is the hilt is tight with no rattle anywhere.

Thanks Bill!
I let Sonny know that other Heron sabers have this same issue. My grip is not loose either, just the guard.

That's a shame, I really liked the look of that sword. I hope Sonny and Zach get the bugs worked out. It's reasonably priced for most folks (still a bit beyond my budget though), I'm sure they'll fly off the shelves once they get them fixed.

Really like the looks of this setup in Blue, but after seeing those gaps, a little disappointed, does anyone know if this is one of the "new made in America blades"? it's not mentioned on the spec sheet, Any reviews about? with some blade measurements including distal taper.
