(...) ...maybe I'm going off the rails a bit, but in a good way. Lol, I got some more 6’ ash staves on the way, to remount my Bowie bushman and assegai. Your iron throne analogy was too catchy And speaking of GOT analogies, I'm sure your up to date with the show, and the realization that the only thing better than zombies and dragons is...zombie dragons.

To be perfectly honest, I haven’t watched a whole episode yet – but am having a hunch I’m really missing out on something. It has swept the award shows for drama and the like, so you get good acting, dialogue, etc...in other words, it is much more than the standard fantasy flick for kids. If your good with a little violence, and like the characters, you will love Game Of Thrones. There is also a book (from where the TV show sprang forth) if you wish to go that rout, but I don't believe the author has finished the series.

I'm sure it is a good show and that I'd get into it if I had a bit more time at thand. Also the fantasy aspect put me off a bit - but as I said, I know next to nothing about the show. Will probabbly enjoy it quite a lot at some times. Actually rather eager for Vikings to continue. I'm actually up to date on Vikings (too much time on my hands ...as I need to get more of a life...too much TV watching, evidently). Game Of Thrones has very little of the magic, fantasy stuff (most of the time, anyway). If you like Vikings, you'll love GOT, as they have quite a few similarities with the family intrigue and infighting.

Compared to the relative price of swords, you can get quite an interesting collection of Polearms (...) It's an acquired taste...err...sickness. It surely is Big, bold, and deadly...and all at a reasonable price. You get on open ground with those, and you own it (unless your opponent has a firearm).
