the scam itself is not new, what pisses me off is that you cant do sh*t about it, sure you report it to Amazon as scam but they will do nothing about it...

You think THAT'S bad, there's a seller claiming to be "Sugoi Swords" who's selling Ronin Euro swords for $50 MORE than Ronin. Someone should tell Chris.

I think it's been out there for about 10 years that Kawashima is a brand of Zhejiang Zhengs.
Sugoi Steel lineup is probably just bought from Zhejiang Zhengs, as they make swords for Ronin too. Chris has been open about it and I applaud him from that even though I am not personally too fond of Ronin. Multiple European retailers buy stuff from Zhengs so similar models are sold in Europe too.

Do you live in Sweden Jussi......Norway.....Iceland? You don't have to say if you don't want to! I'm not sure if there are any good smiths in your country, but I know of three PHENOMENAL swordsmiths in Europe, who are SO damn good that I'm STILL tempted to order from them even though shipping would cost hundreds of $$$ U.S. If you'd like their information I have it bookmarked somewhere. One smith (Stefan Roth) is in Germany, and the other two smiths are in France. One specializes in making katana and the European swords. The handmade quality of their wares is SO good, it makes ME wish "I" was in Europe........also I am Russian and Italian by descent and would love to visit my extended family in both countries that I haven't seen in 30yrs. If you'd like any of the 3's contact info let me know, and thanks for the heads up about Kawashima!

At least I'm interested. Well Stefan Roth is a German smith of OUTSTANDING skill. I actually "almost" had a Messer made for me by him, but my family car (that I drive my little girl around in) needed needed front AND rear brakes/calipers/and rotors......basically ALL my sword money 😡 BUT as every father here knows......family before swords!! Man, it even hurt typing that LOL Anywho, the French Smith I found who does incredible Euro swords is Thibaud Pascual. His website (Mods I HOPE links are okay.....they are in Europe after all) thibaud-pascual-forgeron.book.fr/ (MODS if NOT okay, please let me know and I'll delete it). The fellow French smith Monsieur Pascual recommended PERSONALLY for Asian swords is Michael Sabatier. His website is: www.michael-sabatier.com/ Hope that answers your question/curiosity LH!

Lol I knew it would be Sabatier and Pascual. I just knew it! But yeah can't go wrong with either. Europe has some fantastic smiths out there they just normally don't have the online presence of US smiths.

Stefan Roth is a great guy, I visited his forge when I was young. At his place I saw possibly the best modern made longsword I've seen. Of course back then I was so hyped about his Japanese stuff I only started to appreciate the European stuff he showed me years later. We have maybe a dozen or so good smiths in Finland too. They do not get as much publicity as some of the more "internet famous" makers do. I think JT Pälikkö might be the top dog of Finnish swordsmiths at the moment: www.kp-art.fi/jt/index_eng.html

So it's pretty much a Ronin Elite sold for $200-$300 more with some BS marketing? Classy...

Good stuff Jussi, just a little pricey BEFORE shipping cost. When I was going to buy the custom Messer from Meister Roth, he was being "flexible" with his shipping estimate........but "maybe because he's a more established smith??
