Very lighthearted video I did today with one of my sabers. One of my more enjoyable cutting sessions. Also decided to do this one...in COSTUME!!
Costume's not really historically accurate but it was a fun little thing. I'll definitely be doing more cutting this way, however, and will add more interesting cuts to my repertoire for the saber.
As always, feedback is most welcome.
Enjoy!

Also sorry if I start annoying anyone by starting to post a lot of cutting videos, but they're fun to do and make.

It looks like a lot of fun. Also, I enjoy the blooper reels almost as much as the cutting. That one bottle was trying to escape its fate.

You were swinging pretty sweetly...off with their heads.

I agree about the curves. Oh and the sabers too I also have the CS 1796, but my model needs to be reworked. Backstrap is not centered and so it's rather uncomfortable to wield. I also find it a great deal more nose heavy than the 1840 I did this cutting with, which isn't that bad when I compare it to my antique 1840 saber. Thanks for the compliment! This cutting wasn't really my best, mainly because I got incredibly tired and it was HOT in that costume. The final cut I did I just had to take those gloves off, couldn't stand it anymore. Hopefully I can get an order of tatami soon to play around with. Would like to cut on it with my sabers.

I LOVED this...great cutting, and the bloopers...made me laugh. WOW, I do all those...close misses, pieces hung up, bottles falling off all by themselves...ya needed one where you bat the bottle into someone elses yard...thats my personal favorite to do. The neighbors dog goes nuts and kills the bottle....
