Wearing weight while training with weapons.

I have for sometime used a weighted vest (50lbs) and a gas mask to run with and it is great conditioning. So a while back I
started using these things while training sword and other weapon styles. This I mainly to do simulate fighting in armor so I can be ready when I have my suit of mail and gambeson next year and because it is FUN. I would say as far as movement is concerned generally it is accepted that the man in armor is at a disadvantage I will say that this I find mostly true. However it seems that the extra weight is actually rather useful for a few things. These are my thoughts/observations/opinions etc.
-First item a man that weighs more is that much harder to move or throw
-Second item it seems in attacks coming down the weight of the armour is useful, although it seems the extra weight does
commit an armoured fighter to a movement more.
-Third item Feeding into the prior point it also seems that an armoured fighter once they get moving
can be harder to stop
-Fourth item in a long fight I would say a lighter or unarmored fighter has the advantage in endurance.
That being said there are a lot of glancing and "minor" wounds that and armored fighter is not as concerned with.
Also the armored fighter can be a little more risky/aggressive in how they operate.
Fifth item In reference to endurance in a fight if the armored fighter is trained to operate in armour (Which they better be)
Then the endurance gap may not be as bad
Thus concludes another post on my wacky hijinks in training. Opinions thoughts, ideas all are welcome, hopefully I have given a few ideas to some folks as well.
Good times.
