I recently purchased a Ewart Park Bronze sword from Neil Burridge and it got here today. Havent had time to take any pictures but I have the ones Neil tool. It's a fast light blade and sharp as hell. I just wanted to show it off before I get into a good description later.

Good deal Rabel you will love it.It's a lot lighter and faster than i ever thought. My next step is to have a scabbard made, do you know of any place that will make one without reshipping my sword 1000 miles away.

Hey congrats on the new sword - a very unique piece. What's the edge like. Looking forward to hearing more about it.

The edge is sharp enough to shave the hair on my arm easily.Bronze is as tough as iron (not steel) but the switch was made to the iron age because iron was cheaper to make. Check out this page from Neils page on sword finnishing it explained a lot to me. www.bronze-age-swords.com/sword_finishing.htm

I'm sure Huer-Ta could put together a scabbard for you. I can't speak to how much experience he has with swords this 'early', but if you just want a scabbard, he does very good work!

I found a guy out of Florida named Steve Huerta that looks like he does good work and he's only a month and a half out. Looks like I'm going with him. Thanks for the help all.

the ewart park looks great! im very interested in 3 of his swords the ewart park, carps tongue and the hallstatt just out of interest how does one go about contacting him to have a sword made, i sent him an email a couple weeks back and havent heard anything, i dont know if thats just normal because he's busy or whether im going the wrong way about contacting him, i really want me one of those carps tongue swords but then again i feel i should have a ewart park just because of what it is, everyone recognises it!

Neil Burridge's bronze swords are about as authentic as you can get for a bronze sword. Yours looks really nice as does many of the ones he has made in the past. The Ewart Park is definitely my favorite out of all of his swords. Just out of curiosity, how much did it cost you for the sword? I imagine shipping costs would be different for you and I but I just want to know how much it would cost me to procure one of his swords.

I am in Michigan... I currently make Scabbards for Roman Swords of the 1st Century. If you have pictures or research materials for this beautiful Sword, I could at least look at it and consider it. Send me an Email to: pointershilts@hotmail.com You can see the scabbard I am currently making for a client in the "Sword Customization" section of this Forum here is a direct link to: Making a 1st Century Roman Fulham Sword Scabbard, if you would like to see the quality of my work. I may be a 1000 miles away here in Michigan though... sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/52088/century-roman-fulham-sword-scabbard--Patrick
