I've been busy- finished up this little guy this morning. 1075 from Aldo, hand forged by me (finally ended up with a propane forge that I'm kind of happy with). It's got a bit of a hamon on it, but it's really speckled and not at all well defined. It's also my first try at etching scrollwork. The handle is made from walnut, bolster is mild steel blackened in the forge. It's the second knife I've forged and a big improvement over the first. Learned a lot while making it.

Shiny! Looks good, how well does it cut?

Thank you gentlemen.
I've almost finished sharpening the blade, so I can't quite comment on its cutting capabilities yet. However, the edge is quite hard- it quickly wore a saddle in the surface of my whetstone.
It was originally about three inches longer than it finished as, but I had to cut into the blade due to goofing up the tang.
Honestly, with how thin the edge was going into the quench, I was thrilled that the blade didn't warp or outright crack. I wish the hamon was a little prettier but I'll have to work with that whole thing some more.
