I've wanted one for some time... I know MRL makes a couple different models, but does anyone else? I want a really accurate reproduction, not a Fairbairn-Sykes inspired version.

Pooley and Scorpion from some reading
Just search your thread title and there are a lot of threads and videos across the net. If a zinc handle is OK with you, I guess the low end is the way to go but if I was buying, I would look for a higher price spread,

Thank everyone. I like the Sheffield and the Scorpion, the price is around what I was hoping for. I'm not ecstatic about the zinc alloy handle on the Sheffield, but I imagine it'd work just fine... can't tell what the Scorpion handle material is.

From a bit of reading on the internet, I kept hearing that Boker made a pretty good model: www.boker.de/en/fahrtenmesser/magnum/taktische-einsatzmesser/02FS041.html Also, Peter Parkinson was a custom maker that apparently makes great FS daggers. Unfortunately, I can't find a website anywhere, so I have no idea what the price range is like. Probably more than I can afford anyway, hehe.

After a bit more research, I actually think the Windlass models are a pretty good option. I like the looks of the aluminum-hilted paratrooper version, but I really wish they made a 2nd Pattern type with a brass knurled hilt.

I did some research too, and I want one now...damn^^ Found out that this one is actually the original dealer : www.sheffieldcollectableknives.com/products/joseph-rodgers-1st-pattern-f-s-commando-knifeHere you may customise, but the only version available is 1st gen. Plus, if you convert currencies directly on their website, they charge you an extra 20 bucks (for nothing). From what I saw, the best looking ones are from Mac Donald's. Now, I don't know wheter to get some sempriniesque looking ones for 80 bucks, or wait some time and buy one at MC.

While NOT a Fairbairn-Sykes (though certainly a fighting knife), I feel compelled, none the less, to point out the Blackhawk Nightedge I purchased from Smokeymountainknifeworks (under $25) the other day, as it functions is a very similar way. I purchased two of them, as the Kydex sheaths alone were worth that (knives are currently around $135 at Knife Center and around $50 on Amazon).
