Knives I made from 3/16 80CRV2 steel stock. Both have hamon thing. 15.25" with 9.5" blade. 2" at belly. Unkown wood handle with brass pins. I took reference from Filipino JEST style bolo I have. 1/16 kydex sheath. 12.25" with 1.5 "x 6.5" cutting edge blade. North American Eucalyptus wood., brass pins. .90 kydex sheath. I took reference from Becker BK15 which i dont have. I like ergonomic handle on this one. Its between Becker bigger knives and bk16. I ordered some Becker knives just "to feel" ergonomics. And some ESEE for same purpose. I made several attempts with W2 steel but...all broke, in or secound after quench.

Thank you Deris. I made one more from 80CRV2 steel 3/16 stock. 13.25", 8" blade with 6.25" cutting edge, 1.75" width, full flat grind. I used Rutlaland black furnace cement 2000F for clay. I quenched knife in McMaster Carr 11 seconds oil. 80CRV2 steel is not hamon friendy. Handle- black micarta with brass pins. Sheath .90 kydex.

Just finished W2 steel knives. I like how patttern appeared in black walnut handle. I use Half&Half pure tung oil and citrus solvent blend from realmilkpaint.com. Thisthing has aroma like 1000 fresh peeled oranges. Attachments:
