www.nepalkhukurihouse.com/686/21-Inch-Blade-Mukti-Freedom-Machete.phpGood Lord. The length on this thing is right on par with a dadao, but according to the specs it weighs seven freaking pounds and has a 1 cm to 7mm spine. Any giants out there who need a belt knife? I'd like to get my hands on it just out of curiosity, but I know it's too just too much blade for this guy. Looks pretty, though. Apparently someone in Nepal considers it a practical tool.

Apparently someone in Nepal considers it a practical tool. I don't think it's anything more than somebody in Nepal thinks they can make money selling it to Westerners. Their stuff tends to be heavier than the old traditional versions, but that thing is excessive even by their chunky standards. For something more usable and useful: a 2-handed 18" kukri, only just over 1kg: www.nepalkhukurihouse.com/687/Traditional-Sirupate-2-Chira.php (it's in their "light blade" section!).

I'd like to see that thing ground down to a manageable weight and then mounted on a sword hilt, maybe like a Yataghan/kukri inspired sabre mount.
