I think it is an insult to sword makers to say that he makes swords I'd venture as far as to call it false advertising.

if you want a real buster sword, check this guy out. You can tell that a real one can be made and used, but you would kill your back in the process. Real? Made and USED? It's just a giant piece of 1/4" flatstock with an inch or two edge bevel crapped on it. Not even heat-treated. Besides the fact that it only PASSINGLY resembles the Buster Sword, it's just a piece of semprini. It's too heavy to be used as a sword. From what I can see, the guy doesn't make "swords", he makes overweight, steel props. A sword is a specific tool. Just like grinding an edge on a random piece of metal doesn't make it a knife, this guy doesn't make swords. Holy crap. For once, in a very long time, we agree with each other.

I had to laugh at the blatant stupidity, it just looked funny even though it was stupid. The music was also funny for this clip. He gets a darwin award.

I think that guy would have been just as well off wrapping a piece of cardboard in aluminum foil.

Ok, I shouldn't have said he makes swords. It seems to just be a guy with a big piece of metal that is roughly sharpened and has a handle. I just posted it because it shows that the "giant fantasy swords" could not be used in real life without killing yourself.

I absolutely hate the "huge swords" -trend, but looking at the other videos from that guy and seeing some of the items he's made in them... well, he may not be a swordsmith, but he seems to be able to create some interesting stuff. Mostly movie prop -like stuff, that is.

you would be amazed by the cool gadgets that start life on the drawing board of some prop master in a crappy movie

I absolutely hate the "huge swords" -trend hear hear! I blame those damn JRPGs . Whats wrong with a normal sized arming sword? I'll take a 30' over a 60' any day.
