thank you...i luv the sword...but the factory edge (that i paid extra for) was terrible...it couldnt even cut through 3 pieces of notebook paper until i started the cut. Im impressed with the sword but not with DS.

Ya that's crappy. They'll probably say they were going for a more durable cutting edgr vs a thinner paper sharp edge. How is it on bottles?
I wonder if an experienced employee sharpened it or a newb did?

Yeah the sharpness looked terrible. I'm looking to buy my first sword and I love the look of DSA's products but I've heard mixed review about them.
Apart from the sharpness, or lack of it. Are you pleased with the way it's built?

I haven't tried the excaliber on plastic bottles...It cut water filled milk jugs ok (as seen in the vid) but so does my dull no edge 440 stainless Atlantean sword.

I really can't speak for DSA entire sword line but the one that i own is extremely well built and the craftmanship is quite good. If you are interested in them I would encourage you to purchase one from KOA and have them sharpen it for you. Check out the link below www.kultofathena.com/darkswordarmory.asp

I recently picked one up from Swords of Might. Should have known better from my past experiences with DSA products. The hole where the pommel is attached could have been done better to fill in the hole. Blade was not very sharp and there is a bend in the blade at about the 2/3rd part towards the tip. Not sure where they get their blades, but this one was another QC mistake.
Jason at Swords of Might was very prompt in getting back to me on the issue.
