I'm pretty sure the only legion with a tenuous connection to an actual scutum design was XIV Gemina. II AVG in the UK also claims it but I can't be sure. There was a guy named Barker who published a book of known scuta emblems from Trajan's Column. Most reenactment groups take elements from there or other historical sources. But the bull is a good starting point. Rest of your display looks great. All you need is a tunic and some caligae and you are ready to March!

So far this is the only thing I could come up with for the 9th shield design and even he says " probably ". This is from Stephen Dando-Collins book Legions of Rome. Got the shield boss from KOA now all I need is the scutum edging to finish it.
