Welcome to the Ronin Katana Giveaway for the week of March 21 - 26, 2016! Spring is here, and what better way to celebrate spring than by some light and breezy silk? Another sword bag giveaway, coming your way! This contest is brought to you by Ronin Katana and sponsored by the Ronin Katana Two Handed Long Sword #7, only $250 at RoninKatana.com! In order to participate, simply reply to this thread with an answer to the Contest and your name will be entered into the draw. On Saturday, March 26 the winner will be announced after their name is picked using a random number generator. The prize this week will be a Ronin Katana silk sword bag shipped for free to your home. The Contest this week is: Were you born too late? Do you belong in a different time, a different place? Maybe a place of adventure and swordplay? Would it be the Edo period of Japan, or the Italian Renaissance? Post what era and historical location you wish you had been born in for a chance to win! The winner will be determined by Random Number Generator. Good luck!

I'm fairly attached to the creature comfort of this era. However if I could go back and try another time I would love to GO-A-VIKING

The Early Middle Ages (also known as the "Dark Ages"). Somewhere in North Wales maybe... or perhaps Scotland or Ireland.

I could dig a heavy adrenaline flow once again, so the British Victorian era and a little colonial war or two would fit the ticket.

Sadly I am too attached to the technology and comforts of our era but I would certainly enjoy visiting the late middle ages or early renaissance in Europe. Maybe Italy or England.

Like the others, i'm a little too attached to flushable toilets and refrigerated beverages to leave the modern era. However if I had to pick, the early modern period would be for me. Perhaps sometime around Napoleon's rampage all over europe and the middle east, or the peninsular war.

Clearly, I need to study more history, as I don't have an easy answer to this question. I would throw myself blindly into the renaissance without knowing nearly enough about it, based purely on the fact that such a time of enlightenment and intellectual expansion has always intrigued me.

I'd love to have lived in the Second Industrial Revolution, in the mid- to late-19th century. Sure, it was hard, dirty, grimey...but there's a certain romance to the overlying Victorian era, mixed with the dinge of newly modernized urban areas like New York, Chicago, Melbourne, and London.

I'm sure I was an Egyptian temple cat in a former life but no, I'd rather think I'm too early, I love the information age, if only I was 30 years younger

I like the time period we're all in now. If I could adventure in a different time and place for a little while, I'd be a knight heading out in the company of Duke Godfrey of Bouillon on the First Crusade.

As a big fan of Battleships, I would really love to travel back to WWI era and be a British/German fisherman, to witness the battle of Jutland from afar.

Now and Here. If I had to pick from the past, I'd say the Renaissance, and France.

Loved the 80's so I probably would like to hang out there as an adult. As far as a sword themed era its hard to say because all of them pretty much sucked so unless I was a noble ( and even then it still kinda sucked) I'd say probably the 15th century England. If we are going anywhere in time I'd like to travel back to the beginning and see how it all happened.

Me, I'd want to be born during the Viking Age. I think life on Orkney and raiding into Scotland would have been a good time for my alter ego...then I could have stolen the silk sword bag from a merchant who had contract with the silk road.

Wow, this is quite generous! PM incoming. Thanks, Daniel! I received the sword bag in yesterday's mail. It's quite pretty...black exterior adorned with little flowers, a nice goldenrod tie, and a bold yellow interior. Thanks again to Ronin Katana!
