I have some armor, not a lot but enough to want to display it properly. I've bought two helmet stands and a skull and managed to make a nice display for my mail coif and one helmet, but my mail hauberk was in a pile on the floor. I also had a cheap sword in a corner hiding, a helmet on a file cabinet and a tunic in a drawer along with a belt. I decided to buy a mannequin and try to dress it in armor. There were some cheap ones on Amazon so I took a chance. I was afraid it wouldn't hold the weight, but it's still standing although a little wobbly. So, in the end, I built Lagertha! Skull stand.

That’s an eye catching display that you have. I like armour and find it almost as interesting as weapons themselves. Unfortunately I do not display mine due to lack of space and keep them carefully packed away. I do have a helmet on a display stand near my desk and my buckler hangs on a peg for easy reach. My two gambesons, and padded collar hang in the closet. The leather goods in a trunk. The three pairs of vambraces are on a closet shelf. The maille, brigandine, and padded pants are packed separately in plastic bags protected where appropriate with WD-40 and in all cases moth balls. Yes Martha, moth balls are an excellent rust inhibitor. I learned this trick decades ago to protect my iron mould blocks from rusting w/o oiling. I would pack them in sealed ammo boxes w/moth balls. A warning to you gun owners out there, this will also supposedly remove bluing which is a form of oxidation.

I display my armor on various sales websites. They display it nicely, take really good pictures, and I don't have to pay for it. Lol.

I know what you mean about liking armor as much as weapons. There are a lot of pieces I want to add in the future, especially helmets. Thanks for the tip of moth balls. Here it is in its intended position guarding my plunder while I go pillage and get more plunder.

Slight evolution of equipment and I'm satisfied...for now. I decided the Windlass Suontaka sword and belt were more appropriate and I needed room for my new Del Tin. Now I still have a cheap sword hiding in a corner.
