My father just gave this talwaar to me he didnt know how old it was since it had been there since my grandfathers time can someone tell me something about the sword. Would be really grateful. Also noticed that the other swords kept with this started rusting but this had no rust at all what i find weird is that the blade doesnt have the wootz/damascus design.

what i find weird is that the blade doesnt have the wootz/damascus design. Looks like a wootz/damascus pattern. What do you mean by "it doesn't have the wootz/damascus design"? The base of the blade is a different steel from the rest. This kind of join (a scarf weld) can be seen now and then on antiques, e.g.: oriental-arms.com/item.php?id=1080oriental-arms.com/item.php?id=5056oriental-arms.com/item.php?id=577What else to say? It's a tulwar, looks like wootz. Probably 19th century, but could be older. Indian-made blade.

Sorry this is my first sword and i have absolutely no idea about them my father did say that its a Fauladi (north indian term for damascus means unbreakable ) but i still wanted to confirm as the term Fauladi is not well known and could have been something else

Yup, that sort of hairy or watery texture is what wootz (an Indian type of crucible steel colloquially called "Damascus steel" in Europe because it came here mostly through the trade hub of Damascus) usually looks like.
