That's really cool and impressive. I've been thinking about getting into archery and was only this morning looking at ordering a Bear super grizzly recurve, but I got a bit lost with all the addons I would need.

They are self knocked. Normally I do a Hardwood insert or wrapping to reinforce the knock. But she already told me that she would never fly the arrows. So I did paint instead. They are hickory shafts, so I'd be suprised if they needed much reinforcement.
I use two hack saw blades taped together to get the initial shape, but it still comes down to a ton of filing.
Welcome :) Doing a bow is hard, even if for some is just bending a branch and going for it. And from that image I can see you know your art (doing a bow requires knowledge and requires artist eyes). Very nice. You make your shelf flat or a bit roundish? I couldn't see it from the pics
