Has windlass improved the overall construction of the Atlantian these past few years? If i get one i dont want it to fall apart by using it.

Got mine about 6 months ago and have always been pleased with it... but I have to admit, due to it's weight I've never thought of it as anything more than a display piece. It feels quite solid, but I can't comment on how it would hold up to cutting since I've never tried and really don't plan to.
