Awhile back Blake from CAS/Iberia sent me Kaneie that was returned for minor issues(shrinking samegawa and a chipped koiguchi)for hard target testing.Video was done using very hard dry brittle winter bamboo, then the video seemed to get lost.We decided I would hold the sword until the new bamboo grew(soft but very dense and heavy)and do a comparison test, old bamboo and new growth. This was done and the original footage was found. What follows is two long videos cutting and one review vid. This sword did take minor damage(somehow I actually missed when the kissake took damage, doh!).It also took a set on a VERY HEAVY piece of bamboo.Still, this is an awesome katana and think most will agree.I hope you enjoy and apologies for the long wait on this one. Mono T10 DH blade...the relatively high price for a mono T10 must be the fit and finish then. Great demo, Sensei! It is always a visual pleasure to watch you. Smooth and formidable. Also grace and poetry in your movements. Wowser! Am in awe! Oh, yes, nice sword...but in your hands, all swords look good and perform well :-) RinC

Great videos. Your technique is fun to watch. I'm envious of all that outdoor space you have to move around in and that steady supply of bamboo you have to cut. If I had a nickel for every time I wanted to cut bamboo but didn't have any...I could buy one tatami mat.
