Heya!
20-something years, 5'6"/168cm, 100lbs/50kg. I'm a dude-person but a bit of a princess personality I guess
(although to be factual, Finland is not a monarchy, and to title oneself a royalty would prolly be high treason)
Favourite movie: Pontypool
Favourite books: Wheel of Time
Music: Tool, Nine Inch Nails, She, Conjure One
Food: sushi, pan pizza, energy drinks and Jägermeister
Other hobbies: photography, building subwoofers, audio stuff, drawing, 3D modeling etc arstyness.
My MA history is short and scatterbrained just like myself. I trained Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai and bits and pieces of Kali/Escrima in the Wu Hsin Kuen academy (nowadays called Jeet Kune Do academy). That lasted for a few years and I had little interest in pursuing ranks so I don't have a belt. Later on I did Tai Shin Mun an year or so. So far from the pragmatic point of view, IMHO, I've learned the most from bar brawls and Muay Thai, as I found the various schools of kung-fu to have an insanely steep learning curve to get from forms to application. On top of that, I do XMA/freestyle tricking, where you implement anything flashy into neat looking combos (think flips from gymnastics, 720 kick from TKD, butterfly twist from Nanquan Wushu..). That sports has nothing to do with martial arts, but it looks dope! I also served in the Finnish Air Defence Forces in air surveillance with minor education in guerilla warfare and CQC, although when it came to hand-to-hand combat I got mostly got thrown about a lot by the bigger guys, they thought it was funny I guess
For my MA future I've been looking at iaido, although I'm not certain I've the patience for ît.
I've owned several swords previously: Paul Chen Practical Katana (polished the silly etch off + did katate-maki), Practical Plus Tanto, and when I was still a wet eared chit, I bought a Ruymon Swords katana of some sort, memory fails me here but that sword wasn't anything to write home about anyway. Right now I'm looking at something smaller to fit my stature, negotiating a 22" + 9" wakizashi from Sinosword, review will be up when I get it!
aand here's a selfie nobody asked for
aand here's the customized PC PK I sold, he's a handsome one!
aand here's a 3D model I whipped up
Anyway hopefully I'll get along with yall, and hopefully I get a new sword soon for a little show and tell sorta ordeal.
Laters!
