I've bought bows like this, but not from these people. For about $100, I think they're worth it, if you want a cheap traditional-looking bare bow. To put the price of the bow into perspective: a dozen good arrows can cost more.

What other companies have you bought from? Do you recommend anywhere better? Thanks!

As a general rule I avoid Chinese archery goods on eBay after being let down several times, mostly on cheap arrows which are never straight... ever. For 100 bucks I'd wager you're not going to get the bow in the picture, or one like it even. Really, it's a gamble. You may be happy with your purchase but you might also be sending your hard earned cash down the river. I would recommend Grozer's traditional short bows, which are well established, very reasonably priced, consistent in their performance and sure to last so long as you take good care of them. They're not top tier but they are cost effective and fun to use. Will vouch for these, though I bought mine in a local store and not via the website: www.grozerarchery.com/index_b.htm

What other companies have you bought from? Do you recommend anywhere better? Thanks! I forget whether I bought 3 bows from 1 seller on ebay or 2. Seller only had them listed on ebay.com.au, not ebay.com. Probably had another seller ID for ebay.com. This was a few years ago, and I don't have the details available on this computer. Was the actual manufacturer, though. Seller you linked looks like they sell bows somebody else makes (look at the other stuff they sell). Same bows, though. This is my favourite Chinese-made bow:

I second what Riflemanlizard said, go Grozer, I have one and love it. But if you have your mind set on this one good luck let us know how it works out.

Nothing wrong with the Chinese made bows, their arrows on the other hand are crap, but easily straightened. The bow in timo's picture is on a draw board Aussie :-) and the snakeskin they use I believe is from cobras, dyed to what colour they want. If you pay no more than 100 bucks our getting a good deal as far a I'm concerned
