It is. I have it's brother the Effigy which differs by having a fuller and curved guard rather than straight. Both use the same blade and similar pommel. That's an oldy, suprised they have it in stock. Pretty sure that one was sold out and discontinued back in the mid 2000's like most of the popular old swords. What MRL needs to do is bring back more of the old popular swords and quit making the gaudy over weight half assed museum line we keep seeing. A re-release of swords like this one, the sword of war, barons sword and towton to name a few would sell much better and receive more interest than the $300+ dollar museum line that tries to hold up to the mid ranges but don't offer the value over a $200-400 difference.

Don't know if anyone has been looking but more Windlass swords are available at KoA again. Namely the Classic Medieval and European Sword for slight discounts ($175.00 compared to MRL's retail of $195.00).

Both Uhlan and I have made purchases. Guy is rock solid. That's where I got the Rheinfelden. These swords are special order lots from Windlass. That, currency changes and transportation bumps the price up. Southern Swords in England also does the Windlass Schivona. The GBP is in better shape than the euro right now, so Irongate is probably the better deal. You can check. Tell him your from SBG and we're all saying nic ethings about him. Won't get you a doscount, but will encourage his interest in continuing special orders.

If so they have the best selection of Windlass old and new I've seen.

Ordered two swords from them so far, no problems...shipping used to be very expensive, but went down a little by now.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm torn between spending a ton more for the Del Tin Schiavona or the Windlass one. The Windlass one looks nice but I know the basket is stamped and riveted instead of forged and welded. Outfit4events doesn't have that many Windlass swords. Besides if I buy from there, it's to buy one of the Czech made blades.

Yes, but lawrance ordnance is extremely overpriced. They sell the Coustille for $280, which is twice the amount that MRL sold it for.
