As stated in title started working on a more accurate beastmaster sword, loved the film since i was a kid but cant justify paying fifteen hundred bucks for the Vic Anselmo replica ( link), have made one once before as you can see not terribly accurate, cuts like mad but annoys me its not accurate (still love it though) so i started a new one, want it to be closer to the movie one, started out making a template by printing out the blade to full size and scale, then used the template to draw round and cut the blade from piece of plate, also started on the guard parts since i haven't got any flat/block brass did it from aluminum, going to make the sub guard from steel and the pommel from aluminum next to paper template (one meter ruler in between for scale, over paper template not bad so far, during my research i found out that the original handle was actually canvas micarta which is gonna make life much easier than trying to find/stain wood the right color and get it to fit the curved handle perfectly thats as far as i have got with this one, will undoubtedly post more as i go if anyone is interested. still have lots to do, got to finish shaping the blade, the sub guard and pommel, will be wicked once its done and one huge sword for the type. thanks for looking
