Hello again! I posted a while ago that I was looking for a swordmaker for my custom sword project, and a lot of recommendations came forward of what I am very grateful for! Of those I picked Yeshua's Sword from: www.yeshuas-sword.com/The sword turned out exelent, perfect, beyond words and a lot better than what I had originally scethed. He helped me improve the design and make adjustments, both aesthetic and functional. The sword was inspired by the poster art of the sword carried by Lady Aribeth de Tylmarande for the original Neverwinter Nights, that I am a huge fan of. The blade is of high carbon steel, the guard and pommel are of brass, and the hilt is wood and wrapped in leather. The scabbard is of same materials and holds the sword tight enough that it neither rattles inside or just fall out, but is still effortless to draw out. Total length of sword is around 117 cm ( 46" ). The sword weights around 2 kg (4.4 lbs) and scabbard 1,3 kg (2.8 lbs). The sword is well balanced and comfortable to use. And these are some of the photos of the finished sword: I highly recommend his services. ( In case I came across as "not clear enough" on the subject ;D )

That there is a nice piece, not my cup of tea, but a nice piece nonetheless. Those of us that are fans of Ernie's work have been eyeballin this one since he posted it up on his FB page. I think it's even been posted here once already too. Congratulations on a fine blade there. I know how it is to design, send off sketches,............and wait,......and wait,......Then it's like christmas morning for a 10 year old the day it arrives. That is the most hard core fantasy piece I've seen come out of Ernie's shop to date. It's a heavy bugger aint it? How bout the grip? do those protrusions on the guard/pommel give you any issue when in hand? I cant help but notice that the grip wrap appears to be a spiral or "tennis raquet" wrap. If that is indeed the case, how are the edges? It looks like the overlapped edges were skieved nicely and lay really really flat, as opposed to a grip like the Hanwei Cawood. Either way, it seems to add another element of interest to the grip. I really like the contrast in color between the brass and steel, but the "habaki" design seems to kind of float all alone. I'm not familiar with Neverwinter Nights, but would love to see that design carried into the pommel somewhere for symmetry. Congratulations again, you'll be happy with her for a good long time I'm sure. I'm glad for you that the wait is over, and seeing this one completed means that mine is that much closer to being done (hopefully February).

Nice review and cool looking sword, very anime/fantasy. Did Ernie make the blade himself or is it from another maker?

As a big fan of Ernie's work and a big fan of Neverwinter Nights I think it turned out excellent, very impressive.

To: KaOsBlaKbLaDe The pommel may seem a bit intrusive but I find it that it does not get in the way. The handwrap is also provides a good and solid grip. The downward pointy ornaments from the guard can slightly be intrusive though, but I would not have wanted it without them. x3
To Findlithui: Yes, the "cracked pattern" is actually engraved on the chape and is like 1 mm deep.
To nddave: Yes, he made it from beginning to the end. He even made adjustments during the creation, the blade changed shape along the way a few times in fact. xD
And thank you to all of you for both your feedback and questions! :-)
