Ooh, are we waving numbers and ranks around? Can I play, too? Where's the animated laughing smiley when you need it...

I know, right? I INSTANTLY missed that little smiley. Hey, Paul, you're keeping an eye on this thread. I petition to bring back the laughing smiley! Lol. Alas, I don't think they have anything like that on here.

I think the other forum might have collapsed under the massive weight of my karma so I let it go for the good of the many. I don't miss it at all......*goes and cries in the corner* -Josh

Took me years to get past Chris...but no more. Now all I have to console myself is my virile post count and status as a total badass mod...

Still haven't got a tool bar to use to post on my home computers, they are running on AOL. Even with I switch to firefox or Internet Explorer, can't get a tool bar. Can only do it at work, really don't like to post things for sale at work. Also most the pictures other people post don't show up on my home computers. Ever in all the years I've been om here have I had this problem.

Has to be something with the government settings on the computer systems.

Well I wish it was at work and not at home for me. Think it has something to do with the security setting on this site.

For anyone reading this - anyone else have AOL and the same problem?

Weird that you're having that issue... I'd have thought it was just browser compatibility, but you say none of them work? Goes beyond my scope.

Have the signature pics been removed? Would be fine with me, I just noticed it's gone and was wondering...
Edit: now it's back again... weird.

There will be a little weirdness for a bit as we work through the unexpected bugs and bumps to get everything working as it should be. Somewhat frustrating I can tell you, but bear with us if anything isn't working as it should be. The delays dragging the update into the New Years holiday period hasn't helped any, but in early January we will redouble efforts and make sure its all 100% before the next issue of the digest..
Phew..!

You know, what "old" forum are we talking about? I thought I'd have had more posts than I do between the one I started with (proboards, wasn't it?) and this one.

I have a request, but I don't know if it can be done or not.
I think it would be useful to add the page selection tab not only at the top-left above the threads (where it is right now), but also at the bottom of the thread/page. As it is right now, if there are more than one page of responses in a thread, or I scroll through a list of threads and get to the bottom of that page, I then have to scroll back up to the top to go to the next page of a thread. Not sure if I'm being clear, but most forums have this at both locations and it seems to make sense (and is more convenient). Thanks!

I believe we had what you're referring to on the old forum, and I agree, it was tremendously convenient. I've sort of given in to a lot of the minor details on this one, as it's at least proven more reliable and overall cleaner so far, but that one I'd kind of like back.
If it were possible, of course.

If you are referring to the buttons allowing you to navigate through the pages of a thread, they are at the top of your screen, and stay there, as you scroll down the page. I.e. the navigation buttons move as you scroll down. As I type this at the bottom of the page, the page navigation stuff is still visible at he top of my screen. There is no need to scroll back up to the top of the page.
Hope that helps, Alan

For pages within a thread, yes. But to navigate back to the subforum or main page from within a thread, one must scroll to the top of the page to find these navigational links. In the old forum, a simpler version of the same bar was available at the bottom of the page, as well. Not so on this board.
Only a minor inconvenience, but we're a spoiled lot.
