Must be a short two hander with a chisel grind and black coat.

It's cool fo sho, I've considered this puppy. It's just too heavy, and honestly I'd like the blade a bit shorter as well. If that tactana had a 15 inch blade and a bit less weight it would fall in my dream sword category.

Also just to prevent this suggestion from popping up, I am looking into the MBB m22, it's purdy. I'd love if crkt did their hishou with a 15 inch blade and 10/11 inch handle.

sounds like you're more after a Wakizashi, there are a few about but I don't know of any with black coatings though.

I can make exceptions, it just needs the ability to be wielded with 2 hands.

Getting closer, I still want a chisel ground secondary bevel for ease of sharpening though.

With such a short blade why does it have to be two handed, a long handle on a short blade just screws up the balance.

Pulled the trigger on a miller bros m22, I'll review it in a combo review with the Ontario sp10 that I owe this forum.

I'll look forward to your review, I don't know much about miller bros apart from they don't come cheap, so im interested to see if they are worth the price price.

I ordered their m22, the most reasonably priced two hander that they have. This might be my bug out big blade.

I just googled the m22 and is similar to what I am making if I add a 8 or 9 inch handle, how thick is the blade?

I'm not sure of thickness but I'd assume a quarter of an inch. It's a 9 inch handle to begin with, check the miller bros blades website. I have mine on the way.

It's 1/4"; unless you requested something different. (I'm not sure why that model stands out in my mind as 1/4"; everything I have from them is 5/16")

They wanted chopping and slicing ability, given its balance point 1/4" makes sense from an engineering perspective.
